WHAT WE DO

Servicing startups’ real needs

The business services industry has developed a negative reputation due to high fees, a lack of transparency and opaque results. Simply put, startups don’t need reports, they need support. We quickly identify our clients’ actual business goals and work towards achieving them rapidly. Minimal reporting enables us to dedicate project budgets directly towards achieving stellar results.

Startup Marketing vs. Corporate Marketing

We believe that good PR and marketing are essential for any organization, but organisations of different sizes require different services. Large multinational agencies are adept at providing high value, high cost solutions for corporations to maintain brands and mitigate risks. But that’s not what startups need. You require brand building and exposure to scale rapidly. Helping fledgling companies is our sweet spot.

How we are different

G3 Partners is not the world’s first marketing agency, but we believe we are the first in Asia that is totally dedicated to working with startups. Our diverse international team and deep networks in and knowledge of both Asia and the West ensure we consistently meet and exceed client requirements.

Our clients

We’ve worked with startups from Asia, the USA and Europe, ranging from bootstraps to billion dollar unicorns, but our core strengths are in helping early and growth stage tech startups that are expanding overseas for the first time. Geographically we can help clients most effectively with expansion in Northeast and Southeast Asia and the USA.

G3 Partners history and locations

Nathan Millard founded G3 Partners in Seoul in January of 2015 as “one man and a laptop.” In August of the same year, Erik Cornelius joined full time as a co-founder. The company has since grown to include professionals from around the world who are passionate about telling stories about awesome startups. Now the company is incorporated in Singapore and continues to expand throughout Asia.

FROM OUR FOUNDERS

dsc03242After an early career spanning half a dozen industries in four countries, I spent 30 months (2012 – 2014) in a role that allowed me to interact with hundreds of startups and dozens of investors, accelerators and ecosystem builders in Asia and the USA.

Naturally, this fueled my drive to start something of my own. Critically, it also gave me the tools to do so.

I founded G3 Partners in January 2015 with a goal of helping entrepreneurs in Asia expand into new markets. I’m lucky that my vision is shared by an exceptional Co-Founder and a team of professionals who perfectly compliment my networks and knowledge.

We’re totally dedicated to providing exceptional value for startups through practical support, not reports. And we’ve built a company culture based on respect and transparency that I’m proud of.

I’m genuinely excited by the immense opportunities emerging in Asia right now. I’m on a thrilling ride with an amazing team, supporting the global ambitions of entrepreneurs in Asia and beyond.

Founder & CEO

erik_crop600Nearly 30 years ago, I got a beat up Commodore 64 for Christmas. I’m exaggerating only a little if I say that single gift started a tech obsession that’s lasted all my life.

Eventually, this fascination led to a career marketing tech products for big companies in the global hub of LCDs and feature phones, Korea. Around the same time that feature phones gave way to iOS and Android, Korea’s startup scene became something real.

I dove in, writing about Korean startups on the Seoul Space blog and talking about them on the radio. But I kept my comfortable corporate-sponsored life, despite feeling that while my campaigns might be racking up awards, they weren’t “moving the needle.”

Then, in 2013, a friend asked me to join his startup as VP of Marketing. I loved the challenge of working without a manual and found that, despite nearly a decade of corporate life, my true calling was as an entrepreneur.

I joined G3 Partners as a co-founder in mid-2015, after having talked about the idea with Nathan nearly a year before. Now, I’m part of a team that’s as talented as any I’ve worked with, and that cares more about helping startups achieve actual goals than putting trophies on our shelves.
